Our Security Statement

Pink Storage is committed to maintaining the highest practicable security standards across all of our facilities. This statement sets out our security commitment, the measures we take to protect your stored goods, and the responsibilities we expect from every customer.

1. Our Commitment

1.1. We recognise that the security of our customers' possessions is fundamental to our business.

1.2. We invest in physical security, access control, CCTV, AI-enabled surveillance, and professional remote monitoring to provide a safe environment at our sites.

1.3. We review and upgrade our security systems on an ongoing basis to keep pace with technology and industry best practice.

2. What We Do

2.1. Remote monitoring. Pink Storage works with DSOC (Doncaster Security Operations Centre) as a strategic monitoring partner. DSOC provides 24/7 remote CCTV monitoring and alarm receiving services for our facilities, with trained operators assessing activations and coordinating appropriate responses.

2.2. AI-enabled cameras. Where installed, our camera systems use AI-assisted analytics to help detect unusual behaviour and reduce false alarms, supporting faster and more accurate human review by DSOC operators.

2.3. Access control. Where fitted, we use ANPR-controlled gates to help ensure only registered vehicles can enter our sites. Secure padlocks are used to protect individual storage units.

2.4. Physical security. Our sites may include perimeter fencing, gated access, and 24/7 recorded CCTV, depending on location and layout.

2.5. Identity verification. Customers sign up online and provide identification as part of our onboarding process, helping us maintain accountability across our facilities.

2.6. Incident response. In the event of a security incident, our monitoring systems alert DSOC operators and, where necessary, keyholders and the emergency services.

2.7. Equipment maintenance. We maintain and test our security equipment to ensure it remains operational and effective.

3. Customer Responsibilities

3.1. Customers must:

  • Register authorised vehicles for ANPR site access, where this applies to your location
  • Keep their storage unit securely padlocked at all times when not in use
  • Report any suspicious activity, damage, or security concerns to Pink Storage promptly
  • Comply with our prohibited goods policy and site rules
  • Keep account and contact details up to date
  • Not allow unauthorised persons to access the site or their unit

3.2. Failure to follow these responsibilities may compromise the security of your goods and those of other customers.

4. Limitations

4.1. While we take security seriously and invest significantly in protecting our sites, no security system is completely infallible.

4.2. Pink Storage cannot guarantee that loss, damage, or theft will never occur. Customers are responsible for ensuring their stored goods are adequately protected.

4.3. We strongly recommend that all customers maintain suitable contents protection. For details of our optional scheme, please see our Contents Protection Scheme.
