We're Shortlisted — Not Once, But Twice — at the BusinessIn Wales Awards 2026

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that Pink Storage has been shortlisted in not one, but two categories at the BusinessIn Wales Awards 2026.

Being finalists for Scale Up of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year marks an incredible milestone in our journey. To be recognised alongside some of Wales' most exciting and innovative businesses is something we're immensely proud of, and it's a testament to the ambition, resilience and relentless hard work of every member of the Pink Storage team.

Awards are always welcome, but for us, this recognition represents something much bigger. It reflects the journey we've been on over the last decade, the bold decisions we've made, and our commitment to doing things differently in an industry that was overdue a shake-up.

From One Store to Twenty-Six

It's hard to believe that Pink is only celebrating its tenth year in business. What started with a single self storage site has grown into one of the UK's fastest-growing independent self storage companies. Under the leadership of CEO Scott Evans, Pink Storage now has 26 stores across Wales and England, with more locations already in the pipeline.

That growth hasn't happened by chance. It has been driven by a clear vision: to make self storage simpler, smarter and more accessible for everyone.

We've invested heavily in technology to remove unnecessary hassle from the customer experience. From online booking and digital access systems, we've challenged traditional ways of operating and proved that self storage doesn't need to be complicated. Our customers can arrange storage in minutes, access their units easily and enjoy secure facilities without the paperwork and delays that have long been associated with the industry.

Doing Things Differently

Innovation has always been part of Pink's DNA, and over the past decade we've continually looked for better ways to operate.

Our commitment to sustainability has also seen us open our first net zero self storage facility, demonstrating that growth and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

Perhaps most exciting of all is our continued investment in artificial intelligence and automation. Through initiatives such as Pink Brain, we're exploring how AI, robotics and intelligent systems can further improve customer experience, operational efficiency and site security, helping shape what the future of self storage in the digital world can look like.

Not bad for a business that began with an idea that came to Scott while staring out of the window during his days working as a graphic designer.

A Recognition for the Whole Team

While the Entrepreneur of the Year nomination recognises Scott's vision and leadership, he would be the first to say these achievements belong to the entire Pink Storage team, as every person has played a part in helping the company reach this stage.

Growing from one location to twenty-six takes determination, adaptability, and a willingness to constantly improve. It also takes a team that shares the same belief that good enough can always be bigger and better.

Looking Ahead

Although we're incredibly proud of how far we've come, we are excited about where we're heading.

With new stores continuing to open, further investment in technology, and ambitious plans for the future, we're determined to keep raising the bar—not just for Pink, but for the self storage industry as a whole.

The winners will be announced on 8th October at The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff, and we'll be there celebrating with businesses from across Wales that are making a real impact in their industries.

Of course, we'd love to come home with a trophy or two, but simply reaching the finals feels like an achievement worth celebrating.
