Vote for Good Causes in Shropshire with The Pink Storage Community Change Initiative

Good causes from Shropshire are calling on the public for support in Pink Storage’s Community Change project, which gives back to the local community. After receiving an impressive number of entries to the first stage of the initiative, three inspiring finalists have now been revealed. These organisations are making a real difference locally and are competing for the top prize of £1,000. No one leaves empty-handed, though; the runners-up will each receive £200 to continue their vital work.

Meet the Finalists

Those now looking for your support and votes comprise:

Lingen Davies Cancer Support is fundraising for its £5 million Sunflower Appeal, which will create a new Cancer Centre at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital. The centre will expand treatment capacity, reduce travel for patients, and provide calm, supportive care for communities across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales.

Shrewsbury Repair Café, a volunteer-led project, repairs more than 50 household items every month, saving them from landfill and helping families reduce costs. With additional funding, the Repair Café can invest in specialist training, broaden repair services, and support even more people, especially those most affected by the cost-of-living crisis.

FC Nations is a grassroots football club that brings communities together through sport, supporting many children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Funding will help cover pitch hire to keep subscriptions affordable and provide equipment for their newest team, the Under 6s “Nations Nippers”, helping the club grow sustainably while remaining inclusive.

How to Vote

Voting is simple: visit Pink Storage’s Telford Facebook page, locate the post featuring the finalists, and vote for the project you want to support. Voting closes at 11:59 PM on 21st October 2025.

Scott Evans, Managing Director of Pink Storage, said, “Our first Community Change initiative in Wales was a huge success, so we wanted to expand into other regions where we’re part of the community.

Shropshire hasn’t disappointed. The standard of entries was incredibly high, and it’s inspiring to see so much positive action taking place locally. We know these finalists will receive amazing support from the people whose lives they touch.”
