FC Nations Wins One Thousand Pounds in Pink Storage's Shropshire Community Change Campaign

It's been another nerve-wracking and exciting time at Pink Storage, as the finalists for the latest Community Change initiative competed for the top spot. We are now delighted to announce that FC Nations has been crowned the Shropshire winner, receiving £1,000 to support their efforts following a public vote on social media.

Lingen Davies Cancer Support and Shrewsbury Repair Café were named as runners-up, each receiving £200 for their excellent community projects.

Located near Pink Storage's Telford self-storage facility, FC Nations is one of the region’s fastest-growing and most inclusive grassroots soccer clubs. In just three years, the FA-accredited club has grown steadily, earning back-to-back promotions and multiple cup wins while fostering a supportive community for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

The club's work extends well beyond soccer. With five active teams and three more launching this season- including its Under-6s “Nations Nippers” and a girls’ team- FC Nations provides affordable, accessible sports opportunities to hundreds of local children.

The £1,000 funding will help cover pitch hire and new equipment, keeping costs low for families and ensuring every child can participate, regardless of their background.

“We're absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as the winner of Pink Storage's Community Change initiative,” said X from FC Nations. “This support will help us cover pitch hire and purchase new equipment for our youngest players, the Nations Nippers. We're so grateful to everyone who voted for us and to Pink Storage for recognizing and supporting grassroots projects like ours.”

Scott Evans, managing director at Pink Storage, added, “We're so proud to serve and support the local community and give back to groups like FC Nations. They're making a real difference on and off the pitch, building confidence, connection, and belonging in their community.”

The Community Change initiative is part of Pink Storage's ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities where we operate. To find out more about Pink Storage’s Telford branch, visit https://www.pinkstorage.co.uk/telford-self-storage.
